Artist Reproduction Services
for works of art on paper, canvas or any two dimensional surface

I can scan most small or "fairly large" artwork with my large format scanner. Scanning 1:1 produces a digital file without lens distortion of any kind. The 400 ppi resolution produces a glicee reproduction with "invisible" undetectable pixels unmatched by customary camera photography.  Extra large paintings require multiple scans that I digitally stitch together. Paintings on canvas (flat or mounted), board or paper retain the texture of the surface and the dimensionality of the brush strokes. The color is highly accurate, but unfortunately metallic and iridiscent pigment is not reproducable and will need to be manually applied to the reproduction.
The digital file can be utilized to reproduce the painting in any size- smaller or larger. I can provide ANY  file format, including multiple formats and sizes for ANY type of use- cyber or fiber.
This is a museum quality reproduction. If you had your painting or artwork scanned at this quality level by a service bureau it would be unaffordable for the "average" artist, professional or amateur. My rates are ridiculously affordable.
You can modify the color, restore faded or dirty pictures and do a lot of creative things to
both the digital file OR the giclee print. You can even create a new work of art from several of your images printed on one canvas.

YOU have the "negative" (file) and can do ANYTHING you darn well please to do with it. And I use two very reasonably priced glicee (pigment ink) or "photo" (photography dye) printers who will make prints on virtually ANY surface including natural or poly fabrics as well as paper and canvas.

     Charges....
I need to see your painting(s) to determine how much work is involved for what you want to reproduce before I can put a charge on it. I can charge you by the piece or by the hour. AND if your painting is very valuable, you can be at the studio while I scan it. Certain large and heavy paintings usually require two people to handle the scanning- and that other pair of hands should be yours. The "Professional" "pre-press" hourly charge is 25.00. The "amateur" piece charge "as is" is 5.00 per scan. The effective plate size is about 12" x 17" (ledger size). You'll save a lot of money if you do all the retouching and creative Photoshopping yourself!

I routinely scan entire sketchbooks, family artwork, vintage/heirloom photo albums, scrapbook pages, fragile and damaged photos/art and multiple pages, even stacks of pages.  The hourly charge is 25.00.
Bring your flash drive, laptop or external storage drive and I'll copy all your image files on it, otherwise I can put them on a DVD or CD. (FTPing large files is an additional charge, optimizing and rescaling multiple images for uploading to a cyber gallery is 25.00 per hour.)

When you are a professional or an organization a "flat rate" may apply, as is:

Graphic Art design for business cards, postcards, brochures that incorporate the scanned artwork. I also know where to go for all promotional printing- and it's less expensive and much higher quality than Vista Print, the neighborhood Kinkos, et al.

If you are an artist with artwork that needs to be reproduced or copied for ANY reason or a hobbiest who just wants to reproduce or copy heirloom photos, artwork, ephemera to share with other family members or upload to a website THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. Unlike service bureaus and typical walk-in photo labs my prices are affordable and you won't have to run around to several different place just to get one simple thing accomplished.
